Context
At L’Oréal, in the Research and Innovation team, I’m taking part in the development of an augmented reality system. This system simulates the application of a colorant to the hair using a camera to detect the hair and a projector to illuminate the hair and a model of the coloring process.
Missions
- Integration of various software: calibration of the camera-projector system, hair detection and detection and segmentation, and the HMI and coloring model, with the constraint of making the system as autonomous as possible.
- Design and development of algorithms for automatic hair segmentation
Results
- Integrate and guide users in projector calibration processes.
- Propose an algorithm for hair detection and segmentation based on depth information depth information and refined segmentation based on hair color information.
- Improve the coloring model and GUI by correcting bugs.
